Conversion of a window into french doors.

For anyone who is considering using Oliver for renovation, decorating or building work, below is our testimonial.

We asked Oliver to quote for a conversion of a window into french doors (we supplied the PVU doors). The work involved removal of brickwork and preparation of the area for the window installation, refinishing the brickwork, installing a balcony rail and painting and decorating.

Oliver’s quote was very competitive. His communication was excellent and he and Martin always showed up on time as they had promised. They were also as flexible a possible in order to accommodate changes around supply of the door frames. The work was concluded to a very nice finish with consideration for our budget. The final charge was right on the figure of the original quote with no contingency used despite the addition of little extra bits that Oliver kindly included within the cost. Each night they left the site tidy and clean.

Moreover, Oliver and Martin proved to be really pleasant to have around the place, always there with a smile, polite and considerate. After getting to know them, I felt absolute trust to leave them to their work without our presence (We were still living in the flat during the construction). From my experience I would judge Oliver and Martin to be very trustworthy.

Composite decking.

We have no hesitation in recommending Martin and Oliver.

They replaced our rotten wooden decking with a creative design using composite decking.

Martin was helpful as we planned and decided what we needed. Helping us to deliver what turned out to be quite a complex design and incorporated seats, storage, raised eating area and recess decking lights across the whole terrace, which is long but narrow so quite a challenge.

They were both hard working, conscientious and trustworthy. A few days we left them working and we gave them a key to let themselves in.

They were both polite, courteous and professional, offering helpful suggestions and keeping us informed over the 5 days of the job. They cleaned up every day and were respectful of our home, space and working around us as we both work from home.

The end result has exceeded our expectations and the level of workmanship is far higher than we could have hoped for.

Internal plastering

Oliver and his team did a very good job replastering the walls of our house and were as tidy as it is possible to be when replastering. There were a couple of areas where the plaster cracked again in the parts of the wall which had not been fully replastered and Oliver was both times able to come and fix the issue quickly. Overall, we were very pleased with the end result, would recommend Oliver and will use him again. Thanks.

Painting halls, stairs & lounge, wallpaper feature wall

Oliver did a fantastic job of decorating our lounge, halls and stairways including hanging wallpaper. He left everywhere clean and tidy at the end of the day and put down floor coverings and dust sheets. We are really please with the finish and would highly recommend.
